| Introducing Fuqua's new Center for Energy, Development and the Global Environment (EDGE) |
The Fuqua School of Business is pleased to announce the launch of the Center for Energy, Development and the Global Environment (EDGE). EDGE will provide an integrated platform for education, research, and outreach efforts related to global issues of energy, development, and environment and their implications for business. The EDGE Center will build on and expand the mission of the Corporate Sustainability Initiative (CSI) by enhancing our focus on the energy sector, and exploring its connection to global development, resource use, and sustainability considerations. EDGE's strategic focus is to address questions like: how do we sustainably meet the global demand for energy, resources, and improved quality of life? What are the most promising pathways to transform our current industrial systems to achieve this goal? What role can leading firms play in catalyzing these transformations across their value chains? What partnerships are needed to help facilitate these profound changes? More details will follow as we enlist a Board of Advisors for EDGE and build our center capabilities. See EDGE's new web site at: http://www.fuqua.duke.edu/edge. |
